Do I need a custom tea blend?

Not necessarily. If you simply need a beautiful tea gift or an existing blend, our ready-to-customise collection may be a better fit.

The Atelier is for you when the tea itself needs to be distinctive to your brand, property, occasion or experience. Perhaps you want a signature tea for your hotel, a blend that reflects your brand, a meaningful gift for clients, or something that cannot simply be bought off the shelf.

What can a custom tea actually be used for?

A custom tea can become part of a much bigger experience.

We create teas for hospitality, corporate gifting, retail products, weddings and events, brand activations, client experiences and other meaningful occasions.

It can be supplied as loose leaf tea, single-serve tea sachets or teabags, branded gifts, retail products or hospitality tea, depending on your requirements.

I’m not sure what flavour I want. Can you help?

Absolutely. You don’t need to arrive with a finished recipe.

The Atelier begins with a brief about your purpose, audience and desired experience. From there, our tea team develops three considered blend directions for you to explore.

You might know that you want something refreshing, calming, distinctly Malaysian or aligned with your brand without knowing exactly which ingredients will achieve it. That’s where our expertise comes in.

What happens after I submit an enquiry?

We’ll review your requirements and assess whether the Atelier is the right fit for your project.

You’ll hear from us within 1–2 working days.

If it looks like a good fit, we’ll discuss your requirements, answer any questions and guide you through the next step.

There is no obligation to proceed.

How much does it cost to create a custom tea?

The Atelier begins with a RM500 Getting Started Fee.

This covers the creative development of your custom tea, including your brief, three initial blend directions, sample preparation and tasting, refinement of your selected direction and finalisation for production.

Production is then quoted separately based on your final blend, quantity, ingredients and packaging requirements.

Our Signature Custom Blend starts from 5 kg at RM529/kg. Our Bespoke Collection has a minimum production quantity of 200 kg.

What if I don’t like any of the three samples?

The three initial samples are developed from the brief we agree with you at the beginning of the project.

If you don’t feel that the direction is quite right, we’ll discuss your feedback and refine the selected direction where appropriate.

If you decide you want to pursue a substantially different flavour direction or a completely new brief, we can do that too. An additional RM300 development fee applies for a new direction, and we’ll always discuss this with you before proceeding.

How much involvement do I need to have?

As much as is useful to you.

Some clients arrive with a very clear vision. Others know the feeling, purpose or audience they want to create for but aren’t sure how to translate that into tea.

We’ll guide you through the process and use our tea expertise to narrow the possibilities. You don’t need to be a tea expert to create a custom blend.

What is the minimum commitment?

Our Signature Custom Blend starts from 5 kg, while the Bespoke Blend starts from 200 kg.

The Atelier is designed for clients who are ready to develop a tea with a clear purpose and ultimately proceed to production.

If you’re still exploring an idea and aren’t ready to commit to production, our ready-to-customise collection may be a better place to start.

How long will it take?

Once your final blend is approved and the required production deposit has been received, production typically takes:

Signature Custom Blend: 10–15 working days
Bespoke Blend: 20–30 working days

Can my tea be packaged with my branding?

Yes. Your custom tea can be developed into branded retail products, corporate gifts, hospitality tea, tea sachets, teabags and bespoke gifting formats, depending on your quantity and requirements.

We’ll advise you on suitable packaging options as part of the project.
