White tea comes from the delicate buds and younger leaves of the Chinese Camellia Sinensis plant. These buds and leaves are allowed to wither in natural sunlight before they are lightly processed to prevent oxidation or further fermentation. This protects not only the delicate flavour of the white tea, but also retains high levels of the chemicals responsible for the teas health benefits.
This elegant blooming tea is a great way to enjoy the health benefits of white tea. Place a tea ball into freshly boiled water and watch as chrysanthemum flowers blossom from within tender spring-picked white tea leaves, complemented with the aroma of osmanthus flowers.
We recommend brewing this white tea in a glass teapot to see the blossom in all its glory. Suitable for a 600ml brew.
Each canister contains 8 tea balls.
Brewing time : 3 -5 minutes
Infusions : 2-3 rounds
( It is best to drink the infusion after 3 minutes, then refill your pot and watch the tea bloom further to avoid an over-brewed infusion. The whole blooming process can take up to 20 minutes. Sip away on your tea and enjoy watching the blooming tea bouquet. )
