White tea comes from the delicate buds and younger leaves of the Chinese Camellia Sinensis plant. These buds and leaves are allowed to wither in natural sunlight before they are lightly processed to prevent oxidation. This protects not only the delicate flavour of the white tea, but also retains high levels of the phytochemicals responsible for the teas health benefits.
TTR Trivia : This Double Good Fortune blooming flower tea has been a part of The Tea Republic’s offerings in Malaysia since 2010. A much-loved favourite of our regular customers.
This floral blooming tea is a refreshing, comforting choice. Place a tea ball into freshly boiled water and watch as three chrysanthemum flowers unfold from within a spring harvest of Chinese white tea leaves, complemented with a sprinkle of osmanthus flower petals.
We recommend brewing this white tea in a glass teapot to see the blossom in all its glory. Suitable for a 600ml brew.
Each canister contains 8 tea balls.
Brewing time : 3 -10 minutes
Infusions : 2-3 rounds
( It is best to drink the infusion after 3 minutes, then refill your pot and watch the tea bloom further to avoid an over-brewed infusion. The whole blooming process can take up to 20 minutes. Sip away on your tea and enjoy watching the blooming tea bouquet. )
